What Stepzu is

Stepzu lets you create step-by-step guides — from photos and your voice, or written by hand — and share them as links. Viewing a shared guide never requires an account.

The service is in beta. Features may change, and we may update or discontinue parts of the service. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes on the site.

Your account

You sign in with Google, or with Apple in our mobile apps. Keep your account secure — you are responsible for activity under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use Stepzu.

Do not impersonate Stepzu, its staff, another person, or an organization.

Usernames and public names

A Stepzu username or display name is a revocable identifier within the service. Choosing one does not give you ownership of it, and you may not sell, buy, transfer, broker, or solicit payment or anything else of value for it.

Do not register or hold a name mainly to block someone else, resell it, impersonate someone, or falsely suggest an affiliation. We may reserve names defensively and may require a rename, reclaim a name, or suspend its use when reasonably necessary to address impersonation, fraud or phishing, security risks, registered-trademark confusion, unlawful use, or evidenced name squatting or resale.

Similarity alone, or inactivity alone, does not automatically decide a claim. We consider the context, legitimate interests and active use, evidence of rights, likely confusion, and the least disruptive effective action.

Except in urgent fraud or security cases, we will give the affected user notice of the reason, a reasonable opportunity to respond or choose a new name, and a way to appeal at hello@stepzu.com. We may ask a claimant for a company-domain email, trademark registration or authorization, and evidence of confusion. Possible outcomes include no action, removing a misleading display name, requiring a rename, suspension, or releasing a name to a verified claimant for active use.

Stepzu's review only assigns identifiers within Stepzu; it does not decide legal ownership of a trademark or replace a court or public authority. We do not pay for a username itself, and our defensive reservations are never sold. This does not limit any right that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Your content

Your guides, photos, and recordings are yours. You keep all rights to them.

So we can run the service, you give us permission to store, process, and display your content — including showing a guide to the people you share its link with, and processing it with AI providers when you choose the AI drafting mode.

You are responsible for what you upload and share.

Rules for what you share

Stepzu is deliberately hands-off about what you make. There is a short list of things you may not put on it.

• Sexual content involving minors — in any form, real or generated. There is no second chance for this one.
• Sexual images of anyone shared without their consent, and sexual content dressed up as a guide.
• Content that threatens or targets a specific person, or that exposes someone's private details — their address, phone number, documents — without their permission.
• Instructions for making weapons, explosives, or drugs; for breaking into accounts or systems; or for hurting yourself or anyone else.
• Content that attacks people for who they are.
• Work you do not have the right to share — someone else's manual, book, course, or photos, copied over.
• Malware, phishing pages, or scams, and using Stepzu as a place to park files. Guides are for guides.
• Anything else that is illegal where you are, or where we operate.

When we take something down

If content breaks these rules, we remove it — usually without notice, because waiting would leave it up. Everyone with the link stops being able to open it, right away, and its photos stop loading.

We keep a record of what came down and why. If an account keeps breaking the rules, we suspend it. Sexual content involving minors ends the account on the first instance, and we report it.

Think we got it wrong? Write to hello@stepzu.com. One person reads every message, and that person is willing to be wrong.

Reporting a guide

Someone sent you a Stepzu link and it should not exist? Use the "Something wrong?" link at the bottom of any guide, or email hello@stepzu.com. You do not need an account.

Send the link and one line about what is wrong. We look within one business day. Stepzu is run by one person — that is a promise about attention, not about a support desk.

Copyright

If something here copies work you own, email hello@stepzu.com with "Copyright" in the subject. Include the link, what your work is, how to reach you, a statement that you believe in good faith this use was not authorized, a statement that what you have told us is accurate and that you own the work or speak for the owner, and your name.

We act on valid claims quickly and tell the person who posted it. If they think the removal was a mistake, they can reply to the same address with their side.

Accounts that infringe repeatedly are terminated.

AI drafts

The AI drafting mode is optional. AI-generated drafts can be wrong or incomplete — review and edit before sharing, especially for anything involving safety.

Referral sparks

When someone signs up after opening a guide you shared, you and the new member may each receive one bonus spark (a free AI-draft credit). Bonus sparks expire 90 days after they are granted, and they have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.

There are limits: a sharer can earn at most 3 referral sparks per month and 12 in total, and a new member can receive the sign-up spark only once — deleting an account and signing up again does not grant it again. Guides owned by official Stepzu accounts do not earn referral sparks.

If we see the program being gamed — fake accounts, self-referrals, automation, or anything similar — we may withhold, void, or reclaim sparks earned that way, and may suspend the accounts involved. We may change, pause, or end the referral program at any time; sparks already granted keep their original expiry.

Deleting your stuff

You can delete any guide yourself, which also deletes its photos and recordings from our storage.

You can also delete your whole account from your dashboard. This permanently removes the account, its sign-in identity, every guide it owns, and its uploaded files. It does not affect guides owned by @stepzu or anyone else.

We keep only the limited records described in the Privacy Policy: anonymous product and cost totals, records needed for moderation or legal obligations, and keyed fingerprints used to protect a deleted public address or prevent a suspended account from bypassing enforcement.

The legal bits

Stepzu is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our liability for damages arising from the use of a free beta service is limited.

Guides are written by their creators. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-created instructions — use your judgment, especially for anything involving safety.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
