Turn October's small discoveries into a four-panel paper zine

A tiny publication, no special toolsUse one ordinary sheet of paper and a pen to make a four-panel folded leaflet. It is not a booklet with separate pages, so there is no cutting or stapling. Give each panel one October discovery worth showing someone.

Step 1 Fold before you plan Lay the sheet landscape and fold the left half over the right. Keep the fold on the left, like a greeting card. You now have a front cover, two inside panels, and a back cover. Open it once to see where everything goes.
Step 2 Give the cover one clear promise Write a small title such as Three things I noticed on my street this October. Add the month and year. Avoid spending the whole sheet on decoration; the cover's job is to make someone want to open it.
Step 3 Put two discoveries inside Use one inside panel for each discovery. Pair a rough drawing or a few descriptive words with why you noticed it. A shop sign's spacing or a changing tree silhouette is enough; do not include strangers' private details.
Step 4 Let the back do something different Use the last panel for a third discovery and a question for the reader. For example, ask what they would put on a page about their own street. Keep the question open rather than asking them to agree with your impressions.
Step 5 Check the reading order Close the leaflet, then read cover, inside left, inside right, and back. Rewrite any line that only makes sense to you. Give it to someone, or copy the four panels into digital cards with the date so the paper version can stay at home.
