Make a video call on WhatsApp

See their face, not just hear their voice. Works on any phone with WhatsApp installed.

Open WhatsApp and find the person Tap the Chats tab, then tap the name of the person you want to see.

Tap the video camera icon Top right of the chat. (The phone icon next to it is voice-only.)
⚠️ Video uses your data plan — On mobile data a long call adds up — on Wi-Fi it's free of worry.

Wait for them to answer You'll see yourself while it rings. That's normal.

Add more family to the call During the call, tap the person-with-plus icon to bring someone else in.

To hang up, tap the red button Big red circle at the bottom. If the buttons hide, tap the screen once to bring them back.
